Wil believes the gospel is for all different types of people, from all different backgrounds and what brings us together is the Lord Jesus. He preaches with that reality pushing him as he points people to the gospel. A people person at heart, Wil is authentic and genuine and does not play any games in his preaching, teaching, and living.
Wil was born and raised in the Chicagoland area from a Puerto Rican mother and a Cuban father who met while taking English as second language classes. As a student, he began at his mother’s urging, going to a local church where he later became a believer at a youth retreat in Wisconsin.
Wil is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and has a master’s from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has served at churches in Kentucky and Illinois in nearly every role imaginable: children’s pastor, youth pastor, Spanish youth pastor, campus pastor, church planter, and teaching pastor. Today he is the Lead Pastor at Highpoint Church in Memphis, TN where along with his wife Lylli and their two daughters they now call home.
