Brett Perkins of Journey Worship Co. is a worship leader and songwriter based out of Nashville, TN. A Tennessee native, Brett went to Union University in Jackson, TN, to play baseball. Soon after he arrived, he was reminded of the Lord speaking to him as a fifteen-year-old at a youth conference. He knew he still had some selfish ambition he was holding on to. Brett gave up baseball and for the first time in his life was able to go “all in” with his pursuits toward God’s calling on his life. Over the course of Brett’s college years, he got involved with a local church’s worship and student ministries where he served for seven years.
Since then, Brett has lead worship across the country, partnering with organizations and churches to lead people to the throne of Jesus through music. Brett currently serves as Worship Pastor at The Journey Church in Lebanon, TN (www.tjclive.com) while still traveling and leading at various events. With a heart for the local church, the band Brett typically travels with is mainly comprised of folks from his TJC team. He loves developing relationships, encouraging worshipers of Jesus, and reminding them of what Christ has done on our behalf in hopes that we, the people of God, will respond in a worthy manner. Brett and his wife, Megan have two sons named Keaten and Griffey.
“I love Brett’s story. When he was 15, he was at a conference I was involved in and he shares that during those days the Lord clearly spoke to him through our speaker. ‘Your will. Nothing else. Nothing more. Nothing less’ the pastor shared. It is encouraging to see Brett walking in that reality today as he leads at his church locally and at events like GENERATE” – J. Roger Davis
